MY FRIEND’S PLACE – Supporting Homeless Young Adults Transitioning Toward Independence and Stability
My Friend’s Place program at MCHS Family of Services, Detroit campus offers three components tailored for youth aged 18-24 experiencing homelessness: transitional housing, rapid re-housing, and a hybrid of the two. At this facility, which opened in August 2023, the residents receive comprehensive support including housing, resources, case management, and therapeutic interventions to ensure stability and long-term success.
A financial grant from ASF will be used to provide care and services for up to 300 youth annually as MCHS plans to service up to 30 youth at one time.
